CAD design

Design and CAD support

Drawing review, CAD development, prototype design and manufacturability support for components, assemblies and specialist equipment. We can also survey aircraft, parts and production environments where the solution must fit around existing operational constraints.

CNC machining

CNC machining

CNC milling, turning, 5-axis machining and large-format bridge milling for precision components and engineered parts. We review materials, geometry, tolerances and inspection requirements before confirming the production route.

Profiling

Cutting and profiling

In-house laser cutting, water jet cutting, guillotine cutting and drilling for accurate parts, panels, plates and fabrication blanks. The cutting method is selected according to the material, thickness, geometry and next stage of manufacture.
Fabrication

Welding and fabrication

Fabrication of frames, structures, jigs, cradles and specialist aerospace equipment in aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel. Our welding capability includes TIG, MIG, MAG and MMA processes.
Assembly

Fitting and assembly

Mechanical fitting, integration and final assembly for manufactured components and fabricated structures. Keeping these stages close to machining and fabrication helps maintain control over alignment, interfaces, access and final functionality.
Finishing

Finishing and testing

Wet spray finishing, proof-load testing, inspection support and secure storage for components, assemblies and specialist equipment. These services help customers move through the final stages of manufacture within one controlled facility.

Precision Components, Big Projects

Equipment For Precision Components And Large-Scale Engineering

Our Martock facility includes CNC milling and turning equipment, a 5-axis machining centre and a 9-metre-bed bridge mill, allowing us to support both tightly controlled components and much larger engineered parts.

Complex features can be machined in fewer setups, helping maintain alignment, repeatability and dimensional accuracy. Supported by laser and water jet cutting, fabrication, fitting, finishing and testing, this equipment gives customers a more controlled route through manufacture.

We work to tight aerospace tolerances, with each enquiry reviewed against the material, geometry, component size and inspection requirements.

We begin by understanding the component, aircraft, operating environment or engineering problem. This may involve reviewing drawings and CAD data or surveying an existing installation.

Our team develops or refines the design, considering loads, access, materials, manufacturability, inspection and how the finished item will be used.

Prototype and prove

Where appropriate, we manufacture prototypes, development items or trial assemblies to validate the design and production approach.

Manufacture and inspect

Components and structures move through machining, cutting, fabrication, fitting, finishing and inspection using the required combination of in-house processes.

Fit, test and support

We can support final installation, proof testing and ongoing maintenance, either at our Somerset facility or on customer sites where agreed.
